Assoc. Prof. Ivan Obreshkov is a lecturer and researcher in tourism, food technology, and cultural heritage. A graduate of the English Language School and the Mathematical High School “Acad. Kiril Popov” in Plovdiv, he holds master’s degrees in Public Catering, Bioproduct Technology, and Finance, and earned his PhD at the University of Food Technologies (UFT) – Plovdiv.
He has specialized at leading European universities, including Anhalt University (Germany), Humboldt University (Berlin), Aeres University (The Netherlands), and institutions in Croatia, Turkey, Romania, Serbia, and Italy.
Between 2019 and 2023, he served as Vice-Dean of the Faculty of Economics and Secretary of the Academic Council of UFT. Author of over 100 publications, 8 textbooks, and 2 monographs, he actively collaborates with academia, the tourism sector, and the public sphere to promote innovation, sustainability, and entrepreneurship in tourism and the food industries.
